CHRISTIAN WRITERS OF THE WEST
Welcome to CWOW! We are a group of Christian authors located in the greater Phoenix area, with memberships spanning from Benson, to Gilbert, to Sun City West, and six more Arizona cities. We usually meet the second Saturday of the month and strive to grow our knowledge from workshops on craft, to website building, to "Do I need an agent?" Our authors are seasoned (30+ published works) to intermediate (3+ multiple published works) to beginning (I'm going to see my first publication soon). Walk through the door to our meeting, you will shake hands with traditionally published, self-published, hybrid, and even cartoonists.

Tina Wheeler
Workshop: "Writing Suspense"
Tina Wheeler is an award-winning author and retired teacher.
Her first Harlequin Love Inspired Suspense, Ranch Under Fire,
debuted at #10 on Publishers Weekly Bestseller’s list.
Her stories are influenced by her years growing up on military bases in the desert Southwest,
watching mysteries on television with her mother,
listening to family members in law enforcement,
and marrying her romantic husband, nicknamed the Irish Charmer.
She enjoys playing with her granddaughter, decorating sugar cookies, discovering new restaurants, and traveling with her husband. Although she calls Arizona her home, her favorite place to plot a new book is on a balcony overlooking the ocean.

Nicolette Lemmon
Workshop: “5 Keys to Your Author Brand & Book Marketing Success”
With the congested marketplace for eBooks, print books, and audio books, marketing has become critical for authors to generate significant book sales. For your first book as an aspiring author or having a series and backlist as a published author, this workshop is based on Nicolette’s Write. Market. Succeed. An Author’s Marketing Playbook, to give authors the tools to set up effective marketing.
During the session, Nicolette will cover these 5 Keys:
Getting Started – Is writing a hobby or a business?
Target Reader – Not everyone will buy your book, so who is likely to?
Author Brand – What’s your tagline and platform?
Marketing Plan – How will you spend your time, talent, and treasure?
Magic of 7 – What can you do for the best results?
The key is to take those consistent steps to be a marketing pro for your writing business. Imagine seeing book sales flowing in! And you’ll love the results of your marketing efforts to keep growing your author platform and book sales for more financial success.
